EMPLOYER SANCTIONS AFFECTS US ALL
No Matter Who We Are
The criminalization of undocumented workers actually hurts American workers the most. The principal objective of Employer Sanctions is not only to lure undocumented immigrants to America with rags-to-riches stories and then enslave them, but also to crush the expectations that American-born workers where raised with and turn them into slaves too. How can people say undocumented workers take all the jobs when a lot of us have to work longer and longer hours with smaller and smaller wages, sometimes work two or three jobs?
Many workers in a range of industries see the mid- and late 80s as a demarcation for when working hours began to skyrocket while wages plummeted. With such a system in place, documented workers, too, have little room to refuse or to organize against unfair conditions.
